Feast of the Transfiguration

  Join us on August 6th for Orthros at 8:40 am and Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am for the feast of the Transfiguration. VESPERS FOR THE TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD: The Vespers for the Transfiguration of our Lord will be held on Monday, August 5 at the Transfiguration Church in Lowell, MA at 6:30 pm. THE TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD: On Tuesday, August 6 we will commemorate the Transfiguration of Our Lord at the Cathedral. Orthros will start at 8:45 am followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am.

Feast of the Dormition

  Join us on August 15 for Orthros at 8:40 am and Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am for the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos. VESPERS FOR THE DORMITION OF THE THEOTOKOS: The Vespers for the Dormition of the Theotokos will be held on Wednesday, August 14, at 6:30 pm at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Somerville, MΑ. DORMITION OF THE THEOTOKOS: On Thursday, August 15 we will commemorate the Dormition of the Theotokos at the Cathedral. Orthros will start at 8:45 am followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am. Our Cathedral Philoptochos will host the coffee hour after the service.  

Join us for Paraklesis to the Theotokos

As we begin the 15-day fast leading up to the Dormition of the Theotokos on August 15, join us for the Paraklesis service on August 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 9th at 6:00 PM. We invite members of the community to submit the names of the living to be commemorated during the service. Most Holy Theotokos Save Us! Download [PDF] PARAKLESIS SERVICES: Paraklesis service to the Theotokos will start on Thursday, August 1 and will continue on the 2, 7, 9, and 12 at the Cathedral, at 6:00 pm.

All present are welcome, however, to partake of the antidoro (blessed bread) which is distributed at the end of the service. Those interested in learning more about the Orthodox Christian faith, please feel free to see Fr. Tom after the service.
