Saturday of Lazarus Pancake Breakfast & Palm Weaving

  We invite our Sunday School students to the lower hall after Divine Liturgy for the feast of Sunday of Lazarus on April 12 where our children will be served tastey waffles and have the opportunity to weave palm crosses that will be distributed to the faithful on Palm Sunday!

  Join us after Divine Liturgy in the Anastasia and Spiro Davis Hall for our annual Palm Sunday Luncheon on April 13. Adult tickets will be $40, students are $40, and children under 12 eat for free. Please RSVP using one of the numbers above to secure your spot. 

Saturday of Souls - Orthros, Divine Liturgy, Memorial March 8th

  SATURDAY OF SOULS: On Saturday, March 8, we will commemorate the 2st Saturday of Souls at the Cathedral on Parker Street. Orthros begins at 8:30 am followed by the Divine Liturgy & Memorial Service at 10:00 am. ΨΥΧΟΣΑΒΒΑΤΟ: Το Σάββατο, 1 Μαρτίου, θα έχουμε το 2ο Ψυχοσάββατο  στον  Καθεδρικό Ναό. Ο Όρθρος θα  αρχίσει στις 8.30 πμ. και θα ακολουθήσει η Θεία Λειτουργία και το Μνημόσυνο στις 10:00 πμ.

Vasilopita Sunday - Jan. 12th 2025

  The Ladies Philoptochos invites the Cathedral community to join together as we host Vasilopita Sunday and fellowship hour on Sunday, January 12. Pieces of vasilopita will be offered to the community in honor of St. Basil the Great. A coin is tucked in one of the pieces. If you are the lucky parishioner who receives the piece with the coin, please notify Aglaia Georgountzos or any Philoptochos board member. Additionally, the Ladies Philoptochos will pass a special collection tray in support of St. Basil Academy and youth/young adult programs. Wishing the entire Cathedral community many blessings in the new year.

Feast of the Transfiguration

  Join us on August 6th for Orthros at 8:40 am and Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am for the feast of the Transfiguration. VESPERS FOR THE TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD: The Vespers for the Transfiguration of our Lord will be held on Monday, August 5 at the Transfiguration Church in Lowell, MA at 6:30 pm. THE TRANSFIGURATION OF OUR LORD: On Tuesday, August 6 we will commemorate the Transfiguration of Our Lord at the Cathedral. Orthros will start at 8:45 am followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am.

Feast of the Dormition

  Join us on August 15 for Orthros at 8:40 am and Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am for the feast of the Dormition of the Theotokos. VESPERS FOR THE DORMITION OF THE THEOTOKOS: The Vespers for the Dormition of the Theotokos will be held on Wednesday, August 14, at 6:30 pm at the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church in Somerville, MΑ. DORMITION OF THE THEOTOKOS: On Thursday, August 15 we will commemorate the Dormition of the Theotokos at the Cathedral. Orthros will start at 8:45 am followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10:00 am. Our Cathedral Philoptochos will host the coffee hour after the service.

As we begin the 15-day fast leading up to the Dormition of the Theotokos on August 15, join us for the Paraklesis service on August 1st, 2nd, 7th, and 9th at 6:00 PM. We invite members of the community to submit the names of the living to be commemorated during the service. Most Holy Theotokos Save Us! Get Involved: AGAPE SERVICE READERS NEEDED

  There is a wonderful tradition of reading the gospel (John 20:19 – 25) in multiple languages at the Agape Service on May 5 at 11:00 am. If you read another language besides Greek or English and would like to volunteer, please speak with Father Tom. We look forward to having the gospel proclaimed throughout the world in multiple languages.
