Philoptochos: “Thank you to the Community”

The Ladies Philopthochos Society thanks the community for their donations to the Operation Classroom/Back to School initiative. The donated supplies were delivered to the Hennigan School, a K-8 public school in Jamaica Plain, at the end of August in time for the start of the school year. The school was deeply appreciative for the new supplies, which will help set up students for academic success. Operation Classroom is a National Philoptochos initiative where chapters throughout the country offer support to teachers and students in underfunded or underserved schools. We are proud that the Cathedral community was able to participate this year!

Additionally, thank you to the following Philoptochos sisters for serving dinner at the New England Center & Home for Veterans during the month of October: Fran Giannakopoulos, Sophia Koutris, Denise Nikas, Angela Papadopoulos, and Penny Tsaras. We look forward to serving again in 2024.
